In the last week I've really noticed how much bigger my belly has gotten. It's not "huge" per say...but it is a lot bigger then what I'm used to. Along with my ever growing belly...other parts of me have grown as well. My hair is growing like a weed..which I don't mind at all, it has also gotten a lot shinier and softer over the last couple of weeks, which is a nice plus too. I've come to the realization this week that I may just have to buy a new bra as well...something which I was pretty sure I could avoid. When I first got pregnant I was all excited about that area starting to grow...as naturally I am pretty small chested. I had a couple of bras that I had bought or had been given to me that were slightly too big pre-pregnancy that not fit post-pregnancy. Sadly..those bras are also getting too small. I've been avoiding buying a lot of things clothing related for as long as possible...the only things I've really bought are pants, as my old pants fit just right and any additional weight gain made them really uncomfortable. This pay day I think I will hit up LaSenza and pick out a new bra and have myself measured to find out what size I even am anymore...and then I am going to head to Urban Planet and pick up some slightly larger sweaters for the winter. I'm not quite big enough yet that buying regular shirts/sweaters in larger sizes doesn't work...so to save money I figure I will just go buy some cheaper sweaters in larger sizes and save myself some money...sweaters at UP are like 2 for $25 whereas sweaters at Thyme are $59 each....such a rip off!
I'll post a pic of the belly soon...I just generally try to avoid cameras..pregnant or not.

Fun, Fun, Fun!
Not a whole lot has gone on in the last week...
I've really felt Baby B kicking a lot this week. He seems to like the music I play on my drive home from work each night. I tend to listen to it quite loudly and as soon as I get in and turn the car on, the kicking starts and doesn't stop until I get home. He also kicks quite a bit if I'm hungry and haven't eaten yet and sometimes when Daddy talks to him. It's a crazy feeling now that I can tell the difference between a kick and a gas bubble lol.
This week the stuff that my mom ordered for us came in. I put together the stroller and car seat yesterday and was going to move onto the playard and high chair and then decided that I wasn't ready for the house to be baby ready yet. It may sound silly, but I want to enjoy my grown up only house for just a little longer. So far everything we've received has been stored in the baby's room upstairs...and nothing much has been done with the room yet. I finally picked out the bedding that I want and have started to design the baby room in my head...now it's just to start the process. DH is going to paint the room once I pick out the colours and then I will start the design process. For now I am going to focus on getting the house decorated for Christmas though. Since it is our first Christmas in the house there is lots that I want to do. We bought a Christmas table centre piece today and a small decoration for the fireplace...and I want to talk to my mom about making me a wreath for the doors since she's really good at them. We will be hosting a Christmas party at the house next month and I'm super excited to get things prepped!! Maybe I'll even have some of the baby room done by then...who knows!?
Anyways...I hope you are all doing well!!
Until next time...

Baby Registries = Tiring
Who would have thought that making up a baby registry would be so tiring? A brand new Toys R Us opened up just down the street from me this weekend and they were having a bunch of grand opening sales, so I decided that it would be a good time to put together my registry. My sister wanted to come along, so together we went over to explore the Babies R Us and add a bunch of stuff to my registry...which was exciting since we now know that Baby B is a BOY!! (My mother's intuition was spot on in predicting the sex of the baby :D)
We probably spent a good hour or so at the store scanning all sorts of things...from breast pumps to bottles, blankets to diapers. Picking out nursery items was hard...I wasn't sure what kind or colour of crib I wanted or what bedding I was interested in and Mike was of no help. Apparently he doesn't care what the nursery looks like, he's just going to paint it and build it...so whatever. Once a crib and dresser/changer and bedding were picked out...we were off to the travel section of the store. Every mother in the city must have been out in full force for the stroller and car seat sales they had going on. I stood in the background and listened to sales associates answer everyone's questions about different strollers and finally made a decision on the one that I wanted. I picked an Eddie Bauer travel system which includes the stroller and infant car seat/carrier. All in all, making the registry was fun...scanning things for our little guy to use when hes born...but it was so tiring! When I left I was ready for a good afternoon nap...which is exactly what happened by time i got home :).
After all the scanning I did in store, I still came home to add stuff online and remove things I didn't really want so much...and I have yet to make another trip to the store to add a couple of things I forgot. I ended up changing my mind about the stroller...at the store I debated between two Eddie Bauer strollers...and later changed my mind to the second one, as I could also get a matching playard and high chair, all of which were on sale...taking the grand total down by a whopping $260. My mom and sisters purchased the above for me, and will be shipped in the next week. It's exciting to have our first real usable furniture bought and on the way! I can't wait to see all of the other stuff we get when the time comes (not that I'm being greedy)...it's just so exciting...especially now that we know "it" is a HE!

19 weeks and counting
I'm officially 19 weeks pregnant today!
I had my first official OB appt. last Thursday...which went pretty well. Nothing really exciting happened...had to get some blood work done, listened to the heartbeat and my due date once again was changed. Instead of being due on March 17th, I'm now due on March 22nd. Not a big deal to me...the longer I get to work the more money we get to put away until the baby comes :)
This week I go for my anatomy U/S...only 2 more sleeps!! I'm super excited to find out what we are having :) With my luck my baby's legs will probably be crossed or something though lol. I'm don't really care one way or another what we have, as long as the baby is healthy. Mike thinks we're having a girl and so do most of my family (I honestly think they just want a girl) and all the girls at work think I'm having a boy. At the beginning of the pregnancy I kind of felt like it was a boy...now I really have no idea what I think it is!
Anyways...we find out on Wednesday!!
Hope everyone else is doing well with their pregnancies :)
I'll update again in a few days...

Love is in the air...or...umm...babies? are :)
Seems like everywhere I turn lately people are telling me they're pregnant! A couple of my co-workers are pregnant, many of the parents are pregnant, some friends of mine are pregnant...many of the blogs I follow have announced that they are pregnant....babies are everywhere!
The exciting thing is....so am I! Hubby and I found out that we were expecting in July....after a week long denial on my part. I just wouldn't believe that pregnancy was an option at the time, as we were planning to start trying in the near future but hadn't actually started. Well...surprise! I was!
Finding out with the HPT was one thing...I went to see my doctor within the next couple of days to confirm everything, which lead to a crazy whirlwind of scariness for an almost 2 week period. When I was about 5 weeks I was sent for an U/S and nothing could be seen...not a sac not a blur...nothing! So I was told to come back in 10 days for a follow up, but to prepare myself as it was very possible I was about to miscarry. 10 days later I went back....anddddd.....I got to to only see my little jelly bean...but I got to see it's heart beating :)
Our plan was not to tell anyone other then immediate family until we hit the second trimester...but that plan soon came crashing down when no one could keep a secret! Over the last two weeks it feels like the whole world has found out...but I'm over it! I'm trying to enjoy this time in my life and I don't have time to worry about what other people are doing and saying. I'm 12 weeks this weekend...and hoping that the "morning" sickness soon subsides! My "baby bump" is slowly emerging and my clothes aren't quite fitting as well as they used to....but I'm excited for this journey ahead of me!
Now that the secret is out...I'll try and update more often

Ugh...People....
This week has been a bag of mixed emotions for me. I've actually been really disappointed with a whole situation that occurred this week...it was quite frankly really upsetting. I wish that people could learn to mind their own business...and if they do see "something" or hear "something" that they could be honest enough to come to me first about it before telling EVERYONE else...ugh!
I'm trying to move past the whole thing now...but it still just sucks. I've lost my faith in a lot of people that I thought I could trust.
Anyways...time to end this rant!
I'll update again soon...I promise!
